St Augustine Church of Paoay

St Augustine Church of Paoay is a Roman Catholic church in the municipality of Paoay, Ilocos Norte in the Philippines. It is one of the four Baroque Churches of the Philippines that are inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List. The church was built by the Augustinian friars between 1694 and 1710, using coral stone and bricks as the main materials. The church is famous for its distinct architecture, which features massive buttresses on the sides and back of the building to withstand earthquakes. The church also has a three-storey bell tower, a gothic-style facade, and a mixture of Chinese, Javanese, and Filipino influences in its design.
