Sagada is a town that is famous for its hanging coffins, caves, waterfalls, and pine forests. It is located in Mountain Province, a province in the Cordillera region of the Philippines. It has an elevation of about 1,600 meters above sea level and a population of about 11,000 people.
Sagada has various attractions and activities for visitors to enjoy, such as:
• Exploring the hanging coffins, which are wooden coffins that are suspended from cliffs or caves. They are a traditional burial practice of the Igorot people, who believe that hanging the dead closer to the sky will bring them closer to their ancestors and gods.
• Visiting the caves, such as the Sumaguing Cave, which is the largest and most popular cave in Sagada. It has various rock formations, such as stalactites, stalagmites, columns, and pools. It also has a chamber called the King's Curtain, which resembles a royal curtain made of stone.
