Mount Pulag
Description
Mount Pulag is the highest peak in Luzon and the third highest in the country. It has a stunning view of the sea of clouds, grasslands, and pine forests. It is also home to diverse flora and fauna, such as the dwarf bamboo and the cloud rat.
• Mount Pulag is located in the Cordillera region of the Philippines, within the boundaries of Benguet, Ifugao, and Nueva Vizcaya provinces. It has an elevation of 2,926 meters above sea level.
• Mount Pulag is a popular destination for hikers and mountaineers, who can choose from four trails to reach the summit: Ambangeg, Akiki, Tawangan, and Ambaguio. Each trail has a different level of difficulty and scenery.
• Mount Pulag is also a sacred place for the indigenous peoples of the Cordillera, who consider it as the dwelling place of their gods and ancestors. They perform rituals and offer sacrifices to appease the spirits and protect the mountain.
