Description

Luna Pebble Beach is a unique and scenic attraction in La Union, Philippines. It is a beach that is covered with pebbles of different sizes, shapes, and colors, instead of the usual sand. The pebbles are the result of the erosion of the rocks and coral reefs by the strong waves of the West Philippine Sea. The beach offers a relaxing and therapeutic experience for visitors who can walk on the pebbles, enjoy the view of the sea, and listen to the sound of the waves.

Luna Pebble Beach is also a historical and cultural site, as it is home to the Baluarte Watchtower, a 400-year-old structure that was built by the Spanish to protect the locals from pirates and raiders. The watchtower is made of coral stones and bricks, and it has a statue of Our Lady of Namacpacan on top. The watchtower is also dedicated to the Chinese sea goddess Mazu, who is also known as Ma-Cho or Tianhou.

Luna Pebble Beach is open to the public every day, from 6:00 am to 6:00 pm. The entrance fee is 20 pesos per person. There are also some resorts and cottages near the beach that offer accommodation and dining options for visitors. Some of the popular resorts are Pebble Beach Resort Luna.
