Aparri Park

Aparri Park is a public park located in Aparri, a municipality in the province of Cagayan, Philippines. It is situated at the northern tip of Luzon, where the Cagayan River meets the sea. The park is a popular destination for locals and tourists, especially during Christmas, when it is decorated with lights and ornaments. The park features a golden aramang fountain, which is a symbol of the town's rich fishing industry. Aramang is a local term for salted fish, which is one of the main products of Aparri. The park also has a playground, a basketball court, and a stage for events and performances.

Aparri Park has a historical significance as well. It was once a trading post for the Japanese, who were allied with the native Ibanag people in the 16th century. The park was also the site of the 1582 Cagayan battles, which were fought between Spanish soldiers and Japanese ronin (masterless samurai). The park was later established as one of the major Spanish ports of the Galleon Trade in 1680. The park reflects the diverse cultural influences of Aparri, which include Ybanag, Ilocano, Chinese, Japanese, and Spanish.
